Crawford the Cat: ABC Video Blocks

Drag a video block into the little TV and watch a “Crawford’s Corner” 5 minute video, but once the video has played, it’s gone! No worries, though. Yong players can get them back by spelling early-level Sight Words with help from Crawford the Cat.

The first 100 Sight Words* are artfully used in this fun and educational app. When a player spells 10 words correctly, a video block “drops from the sky,” and suddenly another engaging Crawford the Cat video is ready to be viewed! Each “Crawford’s Corner” video imparts a simple lesson on personal grooming, manners, or exercise.

*Sight Words, often also called high frequency sight words, are commonly used words that young children are encouraged to memorize as a whole by sight, so that they can automatically recognize these words in print without to use any strategies to decode.
